Snail understands this perfectly. He senses that something is about to happen and waits patiently. Toad, meanwhile, is both curious and impatient. Because of that impatience, he misses out on things like the lifting mist, ants at work, and a falling berry. Toad cannot even enjoy the “real” event Snail is waiting for. Snail couldn’t care less; he enjoyed the moment, and if Toad found it underwhelming, that is his own business.
